About Us
The Coop Collective is a new nonprofit dedicated to bridging the gap between available resources and local shelters, ensuring our most vulnerable neighbors receive the support they need. We operate on a dual mission: maximizing the impact of community generosity and offering a practical, sustainable solution for event waste management.
We simplify giving and resource management through three core activities:
Event Clean-Up Services: We offer post-event clean up services for corporate, private, and community events. Instead of sending usable items to a landfill, we manage the breakdown and recovery of surplus food, decorations, and usable supplies, channeling them directly to shelters. This service generates revenue to cover our operational costs, reducing reliance on pure fundraising.
Community Connection: We act as a central hub, connecting donors, volunteers, and shelters, fostering a network of community support.
Resource Collection and Distribution: We accept and organize non-perishable food, gently used clothing, and financial contributions, ensuring these donations reach all types of local shelters that need them most.
